Volker Kregel

Dr. Kregel was born in 1957 in Hannover. He studied law and history at the University of Göttingen. From 1990 until 2000 he worked for the Federal Environment Ministry, among others as Head of Unit for noise protection. In the years 2000 to 2010 Dr. Kregel worked as a municipal Councillor in the Rhine country, since 2003 in the city of Bonn, where he was 2007 City Director. During these years he was responsible among others for the areas of social, health, environmental and consumer pro-tection and personnel, fire and rescue service.

In 2010 Dr. Kregel changed to Hamburg as head of consumer protection at the Ministry of Social Affairs, Family, Health and Consumer Protection (BSG). Meanwhile, he took over the function of the office manager of the Department of Health and Consumer Protection (BGV) Hamburg. 2013 he became director of Senate. Since 2010, Head of Office of the Office of Consumer Protection of the Department of Health and Consumer Protection (BGV) in Ham-burg and is since 2013 Senate director.
