New possibilities for the analysis of food stuffs using ICP-OES with novel plasma observation techniques
Healthy living and a balanced diet have become a big topic in today’s modern societies. As But residues of heavy metals in food, caused by contamination of water sources, of feedstock and processing, can be dangerous because of their toxicity, bioaccumulation, and bio-magnification in the food chain. Thus, to protect public health and keep contaminants at toxicologically acceptable levels, control is required.
The presentation will give an overview of discuss the legal requirements for the elemental analyses of foodstuffs, the principal methodology in terms of sample preparation and analyses, and describe how modern plasma observation techniques and instrumentation improves workflow, method performance, and results.
